The following tragi-farcical video is built around a brief excerpt from Texas megachurch pastor John Hagee's 2001 55-minute film "Vanished", which followed the prophetic, premillennial plot line of Tim LaHaye's and Jerry Jenkin's "Left Behind" book and film series so closely that it was produced by the same company which had made the original "Left Behind" movie.
The 4 minute, 51 second video explores the association, made in the Hagee Ministries film, of Jews with homosexuality, abstract art, conspiracy, satanism, organized crime, and New York City and Europe as historic Jewish power-bases---all associations made in the infamous 1930's-era anti-Jewish Nazi propaganda film [perhaps one of the three most lethal works of anti-Jewish propaganda in modern history alongside The Protocols of The Elders of Zion and Henry Ford's "The International Jew"] that was produced with close supervision by Third-Reich arch-propagandist Joseph Goebbels and which some consider it to be, in effect, authored by Goebbels himself: "The Eternal Jew". "
The video is actually a self-contained three-minute narrative followed by two very long, slowly scrolling, horribly anti-Jewish Hagee quotes from "Jerusalem Countdown" that fill up the last 1:51. Also, I've written a bit more on Hagee's "Vanished" at Talk To Action.
In case you need a laugh after the somber conclusion of my video above, here's an utterly ridiculous one, Hagee and McCain sped up to about 78 which, I've come to feel, is about where they belong:

I've come to the conclusion that Senator John McCain is actually so secular that he just doesn't grasp what a millstone around his presidential aspirations Pastor John Hagee is...
John Hagee's Ministry has put out, over the years, a huge amount of cultural product and I doubt anyone, even people who specialize in Hagee, has waded through the bulk of it. This backlog of Hagee's toxic and incendiary ideological dreck will just keep on bubbling to the surface to burn holes in John McCain's thin skin. It's inevitable, and "Vanished: In the wink of an eye", a "B" rate "Left Behind" knockoff, is a perfect example.
Hagee's anti-Catholic bigotry will probably continue to haunt Hagee, but Hagee's also got an astonishing range of other bigotries - anti-Jewish, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, anti-Islamic, misogynist, anti-gay...
And thus McCain, despite Bill Donahue's most stalwart fo efforts to stamp out the fires out controversy from Hagee's "great whoring" of the Catholic Church [speaking of which, try John Hagee, doing his "great whore" bit, sped up to about X2. He's a giant, pissed off, self righteous munchkin venting and cursing at 78 RPM] will continue to flounder.
Plus, Bill Donahue's got plenty of baggage of his own - such as Donahue's October 21, 2004 spewage, on Hardball, against Jews in Hollywood:
Hollywood is controlled by secular Jews who hate Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular. It's not a secret, okay? And I'm not afraid to say it. ... Hollywood likes anal sex. They like to see the public square without nativity scenes. I like families. I like children. They like abortions. I believe in traditional values and restraint. They believe in libertinism.
That's almost exactly what Hitler and the Nazis used to say about Hollywood and also its German film-industry analog: that they were controlled by secular, amoral Jews who were trying to destroy Christianity, the family and the German Volk.
McCain's political endorsement from John Hagee will prove toxic no matter what McCain does. It's the perfect dilemma.

The Wall Street Journalreports that controversial McCain backer John Hagee has apologized to Catholic leaders in person, and in a letter to crank conservative Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights. He has apologized for making classic anti-Catholic remarks in his books and sermons in which he has called the church the Biblicaly prophesized "great whore" depicted in the Book of Revelation; and that the church was complicit in the holocaust with Hitler. Donohue, who has a grim record of anti-Jewish, antigay and other repugnant views himself, has accepted Hagee's apology stating: "This case is closed."
Not long ago, McCain declared that Hagee had nothing to apologize for.
I will say that he said that his words were taken out of context, he defends his position. I hope that maybe you'd give him a chance to respond. He says he has never been anti-Catholic, but I repudiate the words that create that impression.
Of course, McCain courted Hagee for more than a year before gaining the coveted endorsement, and has wanted to limit the damage to his campaign.
Now perhaps Hagee can apologize for his efforts to whip up war with Iran; and for his numerous anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim and anti-gay remarks, that are part of a host of extreme views and statements that each epitomize the worst, most dangerous features of the politics of the religious right. Unless of course, John McCain feels that he has nothing to apologize for.
