Adventures in Caucussing

Sun Mar 30, 2008 at 07:34:08 AM PDT

Upon arriving at 7:55 we (Mrs. Wino and myself) made our way to the end of the line, near the beginning. The line snaked from the door of the practice gym to the lobby, back down the hallway. People just kept coming soon the end of the line was around the corner so I couldn`t see it. There were literaly thousands in the line. About 8:30 they announced problems with the printer for delegate name tags. Half an hour later the line started moving. I could tell by people moving in the opposite dirrection from where I was standing. We snaked our way to the lobby and back to the doors.
Finally we were in, I got my alternate tag the missus got a visitor tag, then into the auditorium. Got a seat in the bleachers with a good view of the stage, and settled in for a long day. Next time I`ll know better, bring a lunch bottled water and a pillow to sit on.

Todays ENOUGH Protest week eleven

Sun Sep 16, 2007 at 11:45:55 AM PDT

In Orlando this afternoon the same three of us were out there again. This was my last time protesting in Orlando, not because of the turnout, but because I`m moving back to Texas.
Response was mostly favorable, sometimes enthusiastic. The people that disagreed did not seem to be into their disagreability today.  Except one that was on the phone with one hand and giving us a thumbs down with the other he almost hit a parked car.

Todays ENOUGH Protest week ten

Sun Sep 09, 2007 at 11:52:58 AM PDT

Today in Orlando we were out with our signs again. Only three of us this time. The temperature wasn`t overly hot, there was a decent breeze and good cloud cover.
We got flipped off a lot more than usual, I`m not sure  what the Pastor was telling them at the church, but it seemed to be mostly church goers giving us the finger. On the other hand we got many more positive responses than we normally do.

Todays ENOUGH Protest week eight

Sun Aug 26, 2007 at 12:29:53 PM PDT

Today in Orlando we got off to a late start. Our usual location in front of the city hall was fenced in, the whole block was fenced. Parking was a nightmare, I drove for fifteen minutes before I found a space two blocks away. I walked as near as possible and decided the median would do for today.
Traffic was diverted from the usual route, one block of Orange Ave was closed to prepare for the Pat Benatar concert tonight. We got to hear the band warming up a little. I must be getting old, it was loud.

Todays ENOUGH Protest week seven

Sun Aug 19, 2007 at 12:18:58 PM PDT

In front of the Orlando city hall today we had seven people with signs, not as many as last week but not too bad. Two teenage guys stopped to ask about ENOUGH so I gave them a flyer, and they talked with us for a short while before leaving. Mostly favorable responses. I guess thumbs down means DOWN WITH BUSH, that would make it much more on the favorable side.
An elderly Hispanic couple stopped to talk at me, I walked back to their car, and got preached at. "God said there will be war, so we must have war. There will be earthquakes and volcanos, you should pray instead of protest, the End Times are coming". It was all I could do to stop myself from saying the rapture has already happened you missed it, so I just walked away from them.

Todays ENOUGH Protest week six

Sun Aug 12, 2007 at 11:55:12 AM PDT

Today in Orlando as usual I arrived early got out my signs and went to the curbside spot I stand on. I found there are many more responses to the IMPEACH NOW! sign than the ENOUGH sign.
The responses were overwhelmingly favorable, honking, thumbs up,and yelling. There were some that may have been good but maybe not, some of the yelling was uninteligible.I would like to thank all the people that think I`m number one with them, although they probably don`t visit this site.
How do they explain to their children why they are flipping off people they`ve never even  met on the way home from church? Do they even bother?

Todays ENOUGH Protest Week five

Sun Aug 05, 2007 at 11:55:37 AM PDT

Today in Orlando we protested in front of City Hall again from 12:00-1:00. The adress is 200 Orange Ave, Orlando Florida. If anyone else wishes to join us we will be there next Sunday.

I arrived 15 minutes early, got out my new dayglo orange sign with black lettering, and proceeded to the corner. The only difference was one side said IMPEACH NOW! the other side said ENOUGH.People started honking and waving right away.

Todays Enough protest week four

Sun Jul 29, 2007 at 12:26:05 PM PDT

Todays Enough protest in Orlando started a little early. I got there at 11:40 broke out my sign, and went to my usual spot. After a few minutes a car stopped. The lady in the passenger seat said "We`ve seen you here for a few weeks, Enough what?" My reply was" Enough of everything bush has done to my country". She then said "Thank you" and they drove away. I wasn`t sure if it was for the explanation or just for being there.
Thinking to myself here I go again, The Lone Protester,I started whistling The William Tell Overture. A city busdriver stopped and asked enough what I told her Enough Bush, the people on the bus applauded. Then a man on a bicycle stopped to ask " What? " As I was explaining this is a national movement started in California by Wes Clark Jr. I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye.

Todays ENOUGH Protest Week three

Sun Jul 22, 2007 at 11:56:19 AM PDT

In front of the Orlando City Hall, I showed up early just in case someone was driving by unsure of the location. The rally started 20 minutes early. The photo models today were female, and quite pleasant to behold (totally irelevant, I know but maybe it will entice the faltering).
The turnout was almost disheartening again, are there any Orlandonians with Enough heart (or whatever) to show up for one hour? It`s not so bad,no one throws anything at you or yells derogatory remarks.

Todays Enough Protest Week Two

Sun Jul 15, 2007 at 12:41:43 PM PDT

Here in Orlando Florida I arrived a few minutes late, not expecting many people at all. Parked my van and started looking around for the protesters. There was one homeless guy on a bench, a couple of photographers with male models and me.
Figuring I must be early I asked the guy on the bench if he was here for Enough. The look he gave me told me he wasn`t. The models were too busy posing to be there for anything else. So I had two choices I could just go home, or do what I came here for. Choice number one wasn`t it.

The Wanta Plan

Thu Aug 10, 2006 at 04:53:54 PM PDT

The other day I came upon this website

 Global Analysis and International Intelligence
http://www.worldreports.org/

the article titled "Over the Cliff: Full Faith and Credit Ditched" is about Ambassador Leo Wanta and his quest to get 4.5 Trillion dollars he says the government should give to him for services rendered to the USA.

In November and December last year, lawyers acting for the authorities on the one hand, and for Ambassador Leo Wanta on the other, reached a compromise agreement under which this great American patriot was to receive $4.5 trillion from the vast store of funds of which he is the Trustor, corralled at the end of the Cold War on Presidential instructions.

The fund in question was originally 27.97 trillion$ to be used for currency manipulation, causing the downfall of the USSR.
